Keeper of Kindness “Love Like Lu” Scholarship
The Keeper of Kindness “Love Like Lu” Scholarship was created to honor the life and legacy of Sophia Lucario, lovingly known as “Lu” among her volleyball teammates and friends at Texas Legacy Volleyball Club (TLVC). Sophia dedicated her life to making things better for others — always kind, compassionate, and a guiding “lighthouse” to friends and strangers alike.
Sophia lived by the mantra “Be Kind” and led with a heart full of support and love for everyone around her.
Sophia's Legacy
A Light on and off the Court
Sophia’s greatest passion was volleyball. She proudly played for The Woodlands College Park High School and Texas Legacy Volleyball Club in Tomball, TX. Sophia was a truly cherished teammate whose spirit of encouragement and unwavering support shone both on and off the court.
Her genuine love for her teammates, kind heart, and uplifting spirit created an environment where every player felt valued and inspired. She lived for the game — constantly pushing herself to improve and building relationships within the volleyball community across the country.
Who Can apply
The “Love Like Lu” Scholarship is open to all current seniors who play for Texas Legacy Volleyball Club. Eligible candidates should:
Actively spread kindness in their everyday life
Show a commitment to helping others at school and in their community
Share how they have faced obstacles or supported family members through similar struggles
Award: $2,500 (directly funded for tuition at a two-year, four-year, or technical program at an accredited institution)
